Flying British Airways? Enjoy The “Original British Summer” With Their Complimentary Ice Cream

Imagine boarding your plane, taking your seat and then being welcomed with the chilled goodness of ice cream. Well, if you’re planning to fly British Airways, this imagination may soon come true. British Airways wants its passengers to experience the “Original British Summer” with this “cool” service.

British Airways To Serve Ice-Cream On Board

The airline is giving away free ice cream on daytime flights. The flights are specifically from London Heathrow and London Gatwick before 5 pm UK time. The offer comes in partnership with Jude’s, a British Ice Cream brand.

The airline is going to offer a bunch of different varieties like Strawberries and Cream, Truly Very Vanilla, Salted Caramel and Chocolate. The ice cream is made in Hampshire, less than 60 miles away from Heathrow.

It will be available for customers travelling in the airline’s World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and World Traveller (economy), in the coming months.

The airline also plans to re-introduce sparkling wine in its World Traveller Plus cabin from mid-July onwards as part of its pre-take-off drink offering. The wine is also a part of their latest service which is focusing on offering summer treats.

Until September, customers have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of summer-inspired menus in the cabins. In First class, passengers can opt for lighter options such as Prawn Cocktail, Grilled Atlantic Halibut, and Berry Bread and Butter pudding, which are all classic dishes of the British summer.

Sparkling Wine Also To Be A Part Of British Summer Experience

A fresh Calamarata pasta followed by a Raspberry panna cotta is available to be enjoyed by Passengers of World Traveller Plus. The airline is all set to offer a bunch of exciting summer entertainment as well.

The airline has included a brand-new ‘Summer Fun’ category on its inflight entertainment channel for families and kids to enjoy at 35,000ft. Some of these fun movies include Luca, Mummies, a special Barbie channel and also Avatar: The Way of Water

Summer holidays is always attributed to being the best time of one’s childhood life. And with this same idea, British Airways is set to give its passengers their dream summer flight.

The aviation industry has seen a lot of competition owing to the new airlines that keep coming up. In a bid to stay relevant, one always needs to up their game.
