Good news for people who frequently travel between London and Kochi in Kerala. British Airways is now providing a direct flight from Kochi to London within the span of three short months. This will significantly improve connectivity between the two destinations and will allow for ease of travel for the people travelling between the two points. Not many other details are known about this new update. This route was much needed as not many airlines cover it.
British Airways To Start A Direct Flight Between Kochi & London
In a move that will improve connectivity, British Airways has recently announced that it will soon launch direct flights between Kochi in Kerala and London. This will significantly reduce travel hassle as passengers won’t have to worry about connecting flights.
Reduction in connecting flights will also significantly improve the travelling experience as it will mean lesser travel time and a lesser likelihood of missing flights connecting flights or worrying about their cancellations. The flights will operate from Cochin International Airport Limited or the CIAL and will fly to London.
However, there are still a few months left before passengers can avail of this route. According to reports, the flights on this route will be operational within the span of three short months. This means that soon, passengers will be able to travel with less hassle.
Alternative To Air India
As of now, the only airline that operates direct flights between London and Kochi is Air India. It operates flights thrice a week. Since it is the only airline flying on this route, the passengers don’t have many options to choose from.
This is a problem especially when the demand for this flight is high which makes the prices go up as well. This means that people are frequently forced to book more expensive tickets since they don’t have any other option.
With the advent of direct flights from British Airways, this will hopefully change for the better. There is a considerable Malayali population in the United Kingdom and it will be beneficial to them.
