Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the Union Budget 2024-25 on Tuesday. During this much-awaited representation, she announced noteworthy plans for India’s tourism sector. Here’s About Union Budget 2024-25 For The Tourism Sector & Focus On Spiritual Tourism

The plans and announcements for the tourism sector in Union Budget 2024-35 look over spectacular transformations of historical infrastructure, boost iconic sites, and highlight India’s rich culture and heritage. Spiritual tourism holds a major part in the present tourism sector and there are plans to improve and revolutionise devotional experiences.

The first among the many upcoming projects for the tourism sector is the Vishnupad Temple Corridor. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, devotees visit this famous temple in Gaya all around the year. This temple holds prime spiritual importance as many visit here to perform rituals and offer pindas for their ancestors. This historically renowned religious site will transform into a world-class pilgrim and tourist destination.

Another prominent temple in Gaya that represents the city historically is the Mahabodhi Temple. Known for Prince Siddhartha attaining Enlightenment and becoming Gautama Buddha, the priority is to enhance the UNESCO World Heritage site into a world-class pilgrim and tourist destination.

Plans For Nalanda

There are significant plans for Nalanda and Nalanda University. The well-renowned education centre has always been one of India’s biggest highlights for higher learning. Nestled in Bihar, this historical location reflects our nation’s rich heritage and legacy. Furthermore, a university that opened its doors to students from different parts of the world centuries ago has now been transformed into a famous tourist attraction visited by many throughout the year.

Exploring the iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site, looking at the ruins, and understanding the centuries-old history show a glimpse of the vibrant and highly intellectual past. According to Budget 2024-25, Nalanda and notable infrastructure will be developed to establish a tourist centre. Also, to represent our country’s intellectual legacy, Nalanda University will be revived to its glorious stature.
