But there is a special temple in Bangkok where people offer him not laddoos or sweets but Boba Tea! Yes, you read that right. A content creator from Bangkok, Piya Ping (@piya_pu), recently gave her Instagram followers a glimpse of how Lord Ganesha is worshipped there.
She revealed that outside Union Mall, one of the most famous malls in Bangkok, there is a Lord Ganesha Temple where, instead of usual offerings, people pay their respects with Boba Tea. The clip shows several glasses of bubble tea lined up as people pray to Ganpati.

A Very Sweet Tradition
Not one, not two, but some Thai devotees also offer Lord Ganesha 10 cups of Boba Tea, and the reason behind this is surprising. They believe that when their wishes come true, they should come back and offer more bubble tea than they did before. So, three glasses become six and six becomes 12, and sometimes it could reach hundreds.
The idea behind this belief is simple. People offer something they enjoy and something meaningful to them at this Lord Ganesha Temple in Thailand. According to Piya, this is a traditional belief with a very unique Thai twist.
You would be surprised to know that in Thailand, Lord Ganesha is called Phra Phikanet. Just like in India, Thai people believe that Lord Ganesha removes bad luck and brings new beginnings. Thai people also pray to him before starting a new business, getting married or going on a trip.
