Famous Indian chef Vikas Khanna recently celebrated the Ganesh Chaturthi festival at his popular New York restaurant, Bungalow. To start the 10-day celebrations, the star chef welcomed actor Ravi Kishan and his wife, Preeti Kishan, to the restaurant. Together, the couple made the very first modak to offer to Bappa’s idol at the restaurant.

Vikas Khanna really knows how to celebrate festivals at Bungalow in his own special way with his guests. Recently, Ravi Kishan and his wife, Preeti Kishan, were in New York, where they visited Bungalow in time for the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. At the restaurant, they first took the blessings of Lord Ganesha. Then, together, they made the very first modak to start the celebrations at Bungalow.
The video uploaded by Vikas Khanna shows the couple making colourful modaks using a mould and then offering them to Lord Ganesha’s idol. After that, Vikas Khanna and Preeti Kishan went outside the restaurant, where they distributed laddoos to guests waiting in the queue.

The sweet video really shows the warmth and the homely ambience of Bungalow, right? Vikas Khanna also wrote a caption which read, “Our first Modak is ready… and with it, the beautiful celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi begin at Bungalow. There could not have been a more heartfelt way to begin. It was an absolute honour to welcome the iconic @ravikishann Ravi Kishan ji and his wonderful wife, Preeti ji — a couple who so beautifully represent the warmth, simplicity, devotion and deep-rooted values of India.
He also wrote, “Some guests come to your restaurant and leave behind memories. Some bring with them a feeling of home. To begin this sacred celebration of Ganpati Bappa in their presence made our first Modak even more special.”
You should know that modaks are one of Lord Ganesha’s favourite sweets. Devotees often offer modaks to Bappa as prasad during celebrations. The video ended with Ravi Kishan and his family enjoying a meal at a table.
