A video from New Delhi Sweets in Korba, Chhattisgarh, has raised hygiene concerns among people. In the video, you can see a staff member washing utensils on the bathroom floor. A customer filmed the video at the sweet shop while questioning the staff member about the unhygienic practice and conditions there.
The employee said they were facing trouble with the water supply, which was why the staff had to use the bathroom for some days. However, the employee’s explanation did not convince the customer or remove their doubts. The customer continued to question the staff member about the unhygienic practice.

Food Safety Department Issues Warning
As the video of the sweet shop staff washing utensils in the bathroom went viral, the food safety department took matter into their hands. According to NDTV, officials inspected the premises on Monday and issued a notice. The notice directed the sweet shop to fix its washing area within the next two to three days. If the shop fails to follow the instructions, it could face suspension of its food licence.
This incident has once again highlighted the importance of maintaining proper hygiene at eateries. Eateries must clean cooking and serving utensils properly and in the right areas to protect customers’ health. The sweet shop now has two to three days to make the required changes and avoid further action.
