In San Francisco, an Indian-origin organiser is once again making people excited with a fun mango-themed party. Known as the “SF Mango Party,” this popular gathering is returning for its fourth edition this month. This event is going viral online showing how people outside India are loving Indian mangoes just as much.
The organiser, Darshil (@darshil), took to his social media to share the update of this event. In the post, he also mentioned last year they tried to solve the mango shortage but putting some of the best minds to work. He also mentioned that there are again back and to get in touch if anyone want to join and also mention their kind of favourite mango.

Rise In Demand For Indian Mangoes In The US
This post comes at a time when the demand for mangoes in the United States is already very high. Premium Indian mangoes are in huge demand, and people don’t seem to mind the high prices. According to The American Bazaar, every spring, favourites like Alphonso and Kesar create a buzz, with both Indian-origin buyers and Americans rushing to grab them. Boxes priced between $50–$60 (around ₹4,730–₹5,684) often sell out quickly, sometimes even before they arrive.
Sameer Phanase, based in Virginia, says the scene is almost crazy, mango boxes come in and vanish in no time. With limited supply and a short shelf life, handling this demand is not easy. But clearly, the love for Indian mangoes is real, and people just can’t get enough of them.
