The official X page of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (@TTDevasthanams) shared the news on January 1. They mentioned that Srivari Laddu Prasadam sales in 2025 saw a 10% increase over 2024. The highest single-day sale was recorded on December 27, when devotees purchased 5.13 lakh laddus. According to a report by The New Indian Express, devotees in total purchased 13.52 crore laddus this year, marking the highest sale in the past decade. They also wrote, “Devotees expressed satisfaction with improved taste and quality.”
Srivari Laddu, offered as prasadam at the Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, is prepared in the temple kitchen, Laddu Potu, by TTD. Over 600 people, including skilled cooks known as Pachakas, are involved in its preparation. The laddus also received a GI tag in 2009 to protect their authenticity.

TTD Prepares 4 Lakh Laddus Daily
According to a report by The New Indian Express, TTD prepares an average of four lakh laddus daily. On important occasions, production increases up to eight to 1o lakh laddus a day to meet this rising demand. Around 700 Sri Vaishnava Brahmins work in two shifts, round the clock, to prepare the laddu prasadam for devotees. The laddus are made following strict traditional rituals and religious practices.
In recent months, many devotees have expressed satisfaction with the taste and quality of the laddus. Enhanced monitoring and consistency in preparation are the main reasons behind this. Its taste is something many devotees cannot forget, making the laddus truly special.
