Inside The White House State Dinner For The UK & US Leaders
Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump hosted the royal dinner at the White House for King Charles and Queen Camilla. While everyone’s attention was on the meeting, our focus was on the menu prepared for them. Hindustan Times reported that the dinner began with a Velouté prepared using fresh garden herbs. Guests were then served a salad made with hearts of palm, followed by ravioli. What made this ravioli special is that the herbs used in it were grown in the White House garden.
For the main course, the guests were served Dover Sole Meunière cooked in nutty brown butter. It came with spring vegetables, including ramps and snow peas, along with a Potato Pavé and a drizzle of parsley oil. Dessert was also another highlight. The final course featured a Chocolate Gâteau shaped like a beehive. It was paired with Vanilla Bean Crèmeux Custard, Crème Fraîche Ice Cream, and honey produced at the White House.

How Did The Decor Look?
The décor of the dinner was designed to match the seasonal theme of the menu. It was inspired by English gardens. According to Hindustan Times, the space was decorated with tall green plants and lilac flowers. Moreover, the tables were covered with green linens and decorated with spring flowers like butterfly ranunculus, phlox, and lily of the valley.
For the table settings, more than 250 pieces of vermeil from the White House collection were used. Also, the menu cards were also hand-painted.
