With 35,000 Snacks From 70+ Countries, China Is Home To World’s Largest Snack Store

Would you travel to another country just because its snacks caught your attention online? If your answer is yes, you’re definitely not alone. A growing trend called “snack tourism” is taking over globally, with travellers planning entire trips around tasting and collecting local, regional, and hyper-local snacks. And if that sounds like your kind of adventure, then Snack Kingdom in China deserves a spot on your bucket list.

Inside World’s Largest Snack Store In Changsha, China

Spanning over 13,000 square metres, Snack Kingdom in China’s Changsha is officially the world’s largest snack store, and we aren’t even exaggerating. The massive store opened to the public in April 2026 and earned a Guinness World Records title for being the largest snack store in the world.

According to China Daily, the store is roughly the size of 30 basketball courts. Rather than focusing solely on traditional retail, Snack Kingdom is designed as a “dopamine-driven” immersive experience, featuring long corridors lined with floor-to-ceiling glass shelves packed with snacks from around the world.

Spread across two floors, the world’s largest snack store houses more than 35,000 snack items sourced from over 70 countries, alongside regional Chinese treats. Visitors can spot oversized Lay’s packets, giant Oreo packs, and massive snack-themed art installations, all of which add to the larger-than-life shopping experience.

The store also leans heavily into visual experiences and snack-themed art. Visitors can spot a massive candy pipeline made up of 34 transparent tubes filled with nearly half a million real candies. Another eye-catching installation features 70,000 lollipops arranged to recreate the cover art of Jay Chou’s album Fantasy on a wall inside the store.
