Varanasi, nestled on the banks of the sacred Ganga, is often considered the cradle of Indian civilisation. During her visit, she participated in traditional prayers.
Nita Ambani shared her deep reverence for this “Eternal City,” stating, “For me and my family, it has always been important to seek the blessings of our devis and devtas before any auspicious beginning.” Her reflections included a touching acknowledgement of Varanasi’s intrinsic beauty, captured in the vibrant atmosphere during the city’s aarti—a ritual that embodies devotion and communal spirit.
The wedding celebrations themselves are a spectacular reimagination of Varanasi’s elegance and spiritual essence. Nita Ambani’s choice of attire—a 28 chauk jaal Rangkat saree adorned with delicate floral motifs and vibrant zari—reflects her homage to the artistry and craftsmanship synonymous with Kashi.
In her words, “Throughout Anant and Radhika’s wedding celebrations, we have tried to pay our tribute to India’s glorious culture and heritage brought alive by thousands of artisans, kaarigars, weavers, and craftspeople.” This celebration is a homage to the cultural legacy of India, particularly that of Varanasi.
