Japan is probably one of the most innovative countries when it comes to making character food items. It excels in creating cute animal or character-related food items. The latest in cute animal-themed Japanese food is this limited edition doughnut released by Krispy Kreme Japan in Hokkaido. The doughnut is shaped like a red fox’s face and is almost too cute to eat. The doughnuts are available only till stocks last.
Krispy Kreme Hokkaido Is Selling Fox-Shaped Doughnuts
Krispy Kreme Japan has released a special doughnut that is an ode to the kita kitsune fox or the red fox. This doughnut is available only in the Hokkaido region of Japan and that too for a limited period of time until stocks last.
It will not be available in the rest of the country as the fox is known only in Hokkaido. The doughnut has a custard cream filling and is coated with chocolate pudding. The eyes and nose of the fox doughnuts are made with bitter dark chocolate and milk chocolate respectively while the whiskers are made of white chocolate.
The milk used in the doughnut is sourced locally from Hokkaido milk sellers. It further adds to the product being local-centric. It will set you back ¥367 or ₹225 but if you’re eating in, the price is ¥374 or ₹229.

This is not the first time Krispy Kreme Japan has come up with cute creative doughnuts. It recently released a series of doughnuts on the theme of Sesame Street. You devour cute pastries created to resemble your favourite puppets from the beloved children’s store.
Since the fox-shaped doughnut is centred around Hokkaido and is not available anywhere else, there are only limited places where they are available for purchase. These are as follows:
