According to the BBC, 11 people died after a civilian aircraft carrying skydivers crashed in France on Sunday. The crash claimed the lives of the pilot and all 10 passengers on board, including five instructors and five first-time skydivers.
The aircraft, operated by a parachuting school, had taken off from Nancy-Essey Airfield before crashing at around 11 AM local time.
According to reports, emergency services, including firefighters, police officers and medical teams, rushed to the crash site in large numbers. The Meurthe-et-Moselle prefecture said Prefect Yves Séguy activated the departmental operations centre to coordinate rescue efforts and monitor the situation in real time.

Investigation Launched To Know Reason Of Crash
According to Moneycontrol, police urged residents to avoid roads around the airport to ensure emergency vehicles could reach the site without obstruction. Authorities initially warned of a possible explosion risk following the crash, although no further details have been released.
The crash is among the deadliest aviation accidents in recent years in France. The aircraft came down in a grassy area near the runway at Nancy-Essey Aerodrome, with the crash site located close to a residential neighbourhood and two roads.
