Several Indian states have received heavy rainfall in the past few weeks. From Kerala to Assam to Bengaluru, so many places witnessed a drop in the unbearable heat with the change in weather conditions some days back. Reports state that more parts of India are expected to witness downpours in the upcoming days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted the weather conditions and rainfall updates and issued an alert in various places as well.

Recently, IMD Issued An Orange Alert For Massive Rainfall

According to the predictions, light to moderate showers, thunderstorms, and strong winds are likely in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Sikkim, Tripura, and West Bengal. Changes in the weather are expected till June 8. Meanwhile, the IMD issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall in these places.

As days progress, the chances of rainfall may even intensify to massive downpours, according to a report by MoneyControl. The weather is likely to change in some South Indian states such as Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. According to updates stated by IMD, the Southwest Monsoon is moving forward to India indicating rainfall in more states.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, the temperature is expected to notice a drop in Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh. There are chances for rain in Maharashtra on June 2 too. Precipitation is likely in Bihar, Odisha, Goa, and Jharkhand on June 6. The weather agency forecasted rainfall in Delhi as well. The scorching temperature is surging horribly in the national city. Wet weather may bring some respite for the residents.

Extreme Heat Reported In Several Cities

While IMD predicted rainfall in these states, the warm weather conditions will likely worsen in other parts of India. According to predictions, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, and Odisha may face heatwaves on June 2. Heatwaves are also likely in Rajasthan and Uttarakhand in the next couple of days.
