Northern states of the country make headlines every winter season for severe cold and the same is about to happen this time as well. From Punjab to Uttarakhand, places in North India experience chilling cold every year and the weather is all set to be a lot colder in the next few days. According to the India Meteorological Department, the predictions state that temperature may drop in the next week. After the probability of dry weather continuing till Sunday, an active western disturbance might bring the change in degrees, according to a report by Jagran English.

  • Delhites have been experiencing a very harsh air quality recently. In between ‘very poor’ AQI, the national capital is seeing the winter season covered in blankets of little smog in the early hours.
  • It is already snowing in Uttarakhand. The previously mentioned active western disturbance might impact the weather in this North Indian state.
  • Snowfall is yet to start in Himachal Pradesh. According to the predictions of the Meteorological Department, there are chances of snowfall in places located at higher altitudes.
  • The weather has changed a bit in Punjab with a decrease in temperature. The maximum temperature is expected to be 24°C and the minimum temperature to be 10°C.
