Blake Lively’s character, Lily Bloom’s childhood home was shot at Plainfield. The old streets of Plainfield were used as a real-life shooting location for It Ends With Us. The directors wanted to keep the essence of the old and new generations of Bloom to remain connected in the story. Hence, they settled for a 100-year-old home with original mouldings. The rooms were set up according to this century-old house.

Justin Baldoni’s character, Ryle Kincaid has a famous loft that was shot at a building owned by Veris Residential. It is in Weehawken where the team fabricated a gorgeous loft in the rental building.

One of the crucial locations for It Ends With Us is Lily’s flower shop. If you have read the books, you know how important it is. The directors of the film shot for the flower shop at a vacant storefront in Hoboken that exudes old-city vibes of Boston. It is a callback to the original storyline! It was perfectly showcased as the flower shop is a gorgeous set up with flowers from local florists!

Coming to the scene that has left fans in utter delight, the one where Lily and Ryle first meet! The iconic rooftop scene with twinkling city lights in none other than Los Angeles. The inspiration for the settings and frames for this shot were taken from the 2013 Her starring Joaquin Phoenix. This was particularly requested by Baldoni. Could you see the inspiration?

Now, coming to a juicer scene, where the protagonists kiss! The real-life shooting location for Lily and Ryle’s big kiss in It Ends With Us was shot at Newark Avenue in Jersey City. It was filmed right after Christmas, so the team removed the Christmas decorations and left the string lights up! This definitely added a dreamy effect to the romantic scene.

The real-life shooting location of this lavish restaurant located in the heart of Jersey City was the popular South House! It is popular for the fusion flavours from Austin and Texas along with a cosy and rustic atmosphere for a lively dining experience.

The primary location of the It Ends With Us in the book is Boston. However, in the film, the main setting is New Jersey due to financial reasons. It is completely not scraped as eagle-eyed fans and residents of Boston can catch glimpses of the city’s skyline, waterfront and bridges. Mainly Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge and Longfellow Bridge, this should satisfy the hardcore Hoover fans.
