2023 has been a terrific year for the travel and tourism industry all around the world. In comparison to 2022, this year has witnessed a significant rise and improvement in the hospitality and travel sector. The business has surely seen a major boost with more and more globetrotters booking tickets, travelling the world, and ticking destinations off their bucket lists. Taking factors such as health, economic performance, sustainability, safety, and tourism, Euromonitor International prepared the list of the world’s top city destinations.

Can we get some drumrolls for Paris, please? The French capital has been successful in winning travellers’ hearts this year. The top city destination in the world is the dreamy city of Paris. Europe saw a magnificent tourist footfall in 2023 and this city was undoubtedly visited by a massive number of travel enthusiasts from different corners of the globe. Another city that welcomed a lot of visitors was Dubai and it made it to the second rank of this prestigious list.

Some popular cities in Asia have also made their names in the top 10. Paris in the first and Dubai in the second followed by Madrid, Tokyo, and Amsterdam respectively.
