Art Cafe’s journey to Kolkata is a charming tale itself. A chance visit by Iftekhar Ahsan, of Calcutta Walks fame, and his wife Shaheera Bano, a partner at Art Cafe, sparked an instant connection. Impressed by the Kalimpong cafe’s authenticity, they collaborated with the original founders, Pravesh Chhetri and Yachna Rizal, to bring the Art Cafe experience to the City of Joy.

This new venture, aptly named Cafe Mueller, finds its home within the historic walls of the Goethe-Institut at Max Mueller Bhavan on Park Street. The location itself is steeped in cultural significance, making it a perfect fit for Cafe Mueller’s artistic spirit.

While details about the menu are yet to be revealed, one can expect Cafe Mueller to carry forward Art Cafe’s legacy of delicious fare. Their Kalimpong branch is renowned for its fresh, local ingredients and warm hospitality. Diners can look forward to delectable dishes that reflect the region’s unique flavours, alongside a comforting cup of coffee – a staple at any good cafe.

Patrons can expect an artistic haven, a space that fosters cultural exchange and intellectual stimulation.
