1. Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh, a picturesque destination, is currently draped in a pristine white sheet of snow, turning it into a mesmerising winter wonderland. An orange alert looms over Himachal Pradesh for the next two days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting light to moderate snowfall in most areas and heavy snowfall in isolated spots of the mid and high hills.
According to Times Now News, intense cold wave conditions persist, with temperatures dipping significantly. Kukumseri, with a bone-chilling minus 8.1 degrees Celsius, also claims the title of the coldest spot as road-clearing operations are underway to restore normalcy.
2. Delhi
In the heart of the nation, Delhi experienced a relief in temperatures with light rains on Sunday. According to Money Control, the minimum temperature rose to 11.9 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season’s average. Thunderstorms and rainfall are expected during the day, accompanied by moderate fog at night. The Air Quality Index (AQI) remains in the ‘poor’ category, standing at 253, as per the Central Pollution Control Board.

3. Bhopal
In Bhopal, a weather shift is imminent. As per the Times of India reports, hail, fog, and rain are predicted for the next two to three days, attributed to a western disturbance over North India. While night temperatures dip to the normal mark, cloud cover is expected in Bhopal without significant changes in temperatures.
4. Hyderabad
The city of Hyderabad is also witnessing a gradual shift in weather as temperatures begin to rise, hinting at the early arrival of summer. Daytime temperatures in Chandanagar soared to 35.2 degrees Celsius, marking a departure from typical winter patterns. According to Hans India, the IMD forecasts a further increase in temperatures after mid-February, signalling the end of winter’s grip on the city.
5. Kashmir
Srinagar, the crown jewel of Kashmir, is covered in a pristine layer of snow, leading to the cancellation of all flights to and from Srinagar airport. As per Business Standard reports, the valley experiences moderate snowfall in the plains and heavy snowfall in the higher reaches. Authorities are also actively involved in snow clearance operations to ensure safe travel on slippery roads. Despite the end of the harshest winter period, a lingering cold wave continues in Kashmir.

6. Arunachal Pradesh
Arunachal Pradesh is poised for light to moderate rain and snowfall until February 6. Meanwhile, other northeastern states may experience isolated or scattered rainfall during this period, according to The Financial Express.
