1. UAE Ranks 4th Globally As Tax-Free Haven

It was recently revealed that the UAE now ranks fourth, globally, among tax-free countries. As a result, it makes for a great destination for expats to relocate to in 2024. The result was revealed in a report published by William Russell, an expat insurance provider. At this point, it is worth mentioning that the first on the list is Oman followed by Kuwait and Bahrain.

2. Now People Can Pay Taxi Fares Through Alipay+ In Abu Dhabi

People in Abu Dhabi can now pay for their taxi fares through the Alipay+ application. This is perfect as it not only offers convenience but safety as well. The announcement was made by the transport authority of Abu Dhabi and the launch of the service means that no electric payment is allowed. It should be noted that this application is regarded as secure and user-friendly.

3. Dubai RTA Introduces Customer Happiness Centre On Wheels

The Dubai RTA on January 30 announced on X that it has now introduced the Customer Happiness Centre on Wheels. Yes, this has been introduced at the Al Barsha Community Centre and with this, people will be able to enjoy fast and hassle-free services. In case you’re wondering, this will include vehicle and driver licensing, eye testing for drivers, public parking services, and lots more.

4. Emirates Makes Flight Announcements For Brisbane & Perth Routes

In a recent announcement made on X (formerly Twitter) by Emirates, it was mentioned that it will be increasing its number of flights to Brisbane. Yes, starting from October 1, they will be doubling their A380 service to the city and will also be adding a second daily flight service between Dubai and Perth. It should however be noted that on the latter route, Boeing 777-300ER will begin its operations from December 1.

5. Arab Health Is Underway At Dubai World Trade Centre

Currently, the Arab Health is underway for its 49th edition at the Dubai World Trade Centre. In fact, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai also attended this event. Happening till February 1, it features more than 3400 exhibitors and over 40 international pavilions. Not to mention, there are more than 180 participating countries.
