Veganism as a trend is at its peak and there is no better time than now to turn vegan. Since much of India is vegetarian, it is no surprise that it is very conducive to a vegan diet. The West, too, is finally catching up with the fact and giving Indian cuisine its due recognition. New York City, AKA the big apple, recently hosted a vegan night market which featured a number of Indian street food which was also vegan.

Veganism is all the rage recently. Millions of people around the world are taking up a vegan diet for a plethora of reasons. Be it for health, ethical, or even religious beliefs, people are increasingly turning vegan. New York City has a huge population of people who only consume vegan products.

Hence, it recently hosted a vegan night market that served delicious food items from around the world. And Indian cuisine featured heavily in the market. The famous young chef Eitan Bernath recently ventured to this vegan night market and seemed to have had the time of his life!

This particular chef relished not one, but two Indian treats. He first relished the most delicious looking puri-dish. He called it Pani Puri but we think it looks more like Dahi Puri. According to an article recently published by ABP, it was filled with Vegan curd which makes it all the more like dahi puri.

In addition to these two amazingly delicious treats, the young chef enjoyed Chinese as well as Soul Food. He tried what looked like a vegan open bao bun which had lots of fake fish and packed a lot of flavours.

In his soul food platter, we also saw some delicious-looking macaroni and cheese and the chef even gave it a shout-out! The bao, as per the chef, also had some nuttiness to it given that it was generously topped with peanuts.
