With state tourism boards, tour operators, airlines, and hospitality providers, India participated in the World Travel Market (WTM) 2024 and left quite a mark there. The WTM concluded in London on November 7 and saw different Indian states highlighting the country’s cultural beauty and diverse tourism options. With the ‘Chalo India’ campaign, all the pavilions aimed to increase inbound tourism in India and give a push to India’s tourism sector. Here are some highlights from the massive global tourism event in London.
India At World Travel Market (WTM) 2024 In London
1. Odisha

The Odisha pavilion promoted wedding tourism at the World Travel Market. They even got 17 wedding and event planners to promote wedding tourism and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) in the state.
2. Kerala

The Kerala pavilion showcased the state’s diverse cultural heritage with cultural performances and installations.
3. Tamil Nadu

Focussing on its vibrant coastal retreats and centuries-old monuments, Tamil Nadu also unveiled its treasure trove of tourism wonders at WTM 2024 to welcome foreign tourists.

Madhya Pradesh’s pavilion saw a special focus on eco-tourism and sustainable travel experiences for international tourists. The beautiful installations showcasing the state’s historic sites and wildlife sanctuaries were definitely the main highlight!

6. Rajasthan

7. Uttar Pradesh
With the upcoming Maha Kumbh, the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department highlighted the beauty of this fare and how it can increase inbound tourism in the country.
8. Karnataka
The Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation showcased the diverse tourism offerings of the state with the pavilion boasting installations of UNESCO World Heritage sites like Hampi and Pattadakal.
