Today, authorities revealed that work has begun on the North Runway of Zayed International Airport. This rehabilitation project is part of the Building Better Airports campaign. Under the General Civil Aviation Authority’s (GCAA) guidance, the project will continue until it is ready for final approval and operational commencement. On Tuesday afternoon, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported record-breaking temperatures of 50.8°C in Al Shawamekh, Abu Dhabi, at 14:45, and in Sweihan, Al Ain, at 15:45. This sizzling heat wave, which migrated from the Arabian Peninsula, has raised temperatures by two to three degrees in desert, inland, and coastal areas. The NCM predicts this sweltering trend will last for five more days. Time to crank up the AC and stay hydrated!

Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed has given the green light to the Emirati Family Growth Programme.
