Ingredients:

  • 32 glucose biscuits
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3-4 tbsp fruit jam

Recipe:

  • Break the glucose biscuits into small pieces. Transfer them into a mixer to grind them into a fine powder.
  • Pour glucose biscuit powder into a pan and add butter and milk to it.
  • Mix these three ingredients and cook them on a low flame. Continue mixing till everything combines well to form a brown and smooth dough-like texture.
  • Once done, transfer modak’s biscuit dough to a plate and spread it to cool down.
  • Meanwhile, take a small bowl and whip fruit jam in it.
  • After the dough cools down, stuff a small portion inside a modak mould and create an outer layer. Use your fingers to make a proper outer layer. Keep enough space inside to add jam.
  • Next, add jam inside the mould and seal the end with more biscuit mixture.
  • Demould every piece and garnish with chopped dry fruits if you wish to. It is an additional step to enhance their looks and taste.
