Gender reveal parties are gaining popularity across the world. The parents-to-be invite their loved ones for a gathering to announce the gender of their unborn child. The reveal involves throwing in “pink” for a girl and “blue” for a boy in food, decor and other surprises. Recently, a gender reveal party in Mexico turned deadly as a plane carrying pink smoke nose-dived and crashed. Read on to know what actually happened.
Plane Emitting Pink Smoke Crashes At Gender Reveal Party In Mexico
X (formerly Twitter) user, @iamyesyouareno took to the platform to share a horrifying video of a gender reveal party gone wrong in Mexico. In the footage you can see the expecting parents, dressed in beautiful white attire, holding hands in front of a stunning signboard that read “Oh Baby”. There are pink and blue balloons around the signboard and the attendees could be heard excited for the couple.

At that time, an aircraft hired for the celebration flew over the couple. It emitted pink smoke to reveal that it was a baby girl. The couple hugged each other in happiness and the guests screamed in excitement. But the happiness was short-lived. The Piper PA-25-235 Pawnee aircraft, part of the celebration, nosedived from the air, spiralled out of control and crashed.
The 32-year-old Luis Angel N was found in the wreckage. He was immediately taken to the hospital. As per an India Today report, despite being immediately rushed to the hospital, and given immediate medical attention, the pilot succumbed to his injuries. This incident happened at a gender reveal party in San Pedro, Mexico.

I am no fan of the reveal… But it was not the parents’ fault that the pilot either exceeded the aeroplane’s wing loading or the plane had a major structural fault; either way, that plane, or pilot was an accident in waiting.
