Get Your Luggage Transported From Home To Train With This New Railways App

You would agree with us that the idea of having someone ferry luggage to the train is a never pleasant sight. We are talking about ‘Coolies’. Although it comes as a way of living for many, it is manual labour, and it should stop. What comes a new initiative by the Railways is that a new application called Bags on Wheels, would offer to pick up, transfer and loading of luggage for passengers travelling from Delhi, Ghaziabad and Gurgaon. Yes, you read that right. The service would allow passengers to transport their luggage from home to the railway station upon arrival in trains and vice versa.

The Service Would Be Available In Delhi & Gurgaon

According to reports, the firm which is handling the service will serve passengers boarding trains from New Delhi, Delhi Cantt., Hazrat Nizamuddin, Delhi Jn. Delhi Sarai Rohilla, Ghaziabad and Gurugram railway stations. People living in NCR can fully take advantage of the application. Aarogya Setu App Mandatory For Air Travel

The Service Charges Are Nominal

The service charges are nominal and would depend on the weight, and the quantity of the luggage. They would also take in factor the distance travelled by the passenger. Both iPhone & Android Users Can Use The App

Both iPhone and Android users can use the BOW app. The luggage would be picked by the contractor securely and delivered to the coach or home after the request have been placed on the application. The delivery of the baggage would be done before the train’s departure, making travel convenient for passengers.

The app-based luggage service has also been launched to improve revenue for the railways. Apart from making travel convenient for passengers, it will again come as a way of enhancing the revenue.
