The Michelin-starred chef, known for celebrating India through his culinary creations, recently shared a heartwarming moment from his restaurant, Bungalow, that left him speechless and reminded him of a beautiful conversation he had with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan at the restaurant.

Chef Vikas Khanna found it difficult to explain in words after he found millions of flowers on the glass ceiling of his New York restaurant, Bungalow. He took to social media to share visuals of the flowers littered around the restaurant’s ceiling. Now, if you’re wondering what’s so special about flowers falling on a ceiling, the chef shared that there are no trees directly above the restaurant.

“It’s hard to explain what I feel when millions of tiny flowers gently rain down over our glass ceiling. The trees aren’t even directly above us. And yet—the winds, the sun, the rains, gravity… the gods—they all conspire to make this happen,” he beautifully added in the post.

In the video, with a big smile, he says, “Someone up there is watching.”

Chef Recalls SRK’s Touching Words

The beautiful flowers on the Bungalow’s glass ceiling reminded Chef Vikas Khanna of a beautiful conversation he had with Shah Rukh Khan when the actor visited the famous restaurant last year.

In the post, he added, “I remember clearly when Shah Rukh Khan sat beneath this very ceiling. At that moment, the moon appeared right above him, almost as if it were smiling with joy. SRK said: There are thousands of restaurants—but only one BUNGALOW. For me, this is a place that honours us, our parents, our ancestors.”

According to the chef, those weren’t just words of complement, but “the universe affirming that this is no ordinary space.” He further added emotionally, “This is the pure magic of faith. And I know who is up there, creating this magic for us.”

We haven’t been to Vikas Khanna’s Bungalow yet, but SRK’s words seem absolutely true! The place looks magical, and we can’t wait for the day we’re lucky enough to land a reservation and experience the love and flavour that fills every corner.
