Flying To Taiwan After Oct 1? Here’s What You Need To Know About The New Arrival Card Requirement

Starting October 1, all international tourists visiting Taiwan will have to fill out a Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC). Taiwan has introduced this new rule to modernise immigration procedures, improve security, and ensure smoother entry for foreign nationals. Before entering the country, international visitors will have to fill it out and only those with a lien Residence Certificate, a Resident Visa, or a Diplomatic ID can skip this new rule. Taiwan Arrival Card For International Visitors

From next month, international visitors will need to fill out the Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC) before entering Taiwan. What exactly is it? The TWAC is a digital form that travellers must complete within 72 hours before their arrival, reported Travel and Tour World. It is available online and is free of charge. Travellers are required to provide details such as passport information, email address, occupation, phone number, and accommodation addresses.

Ensuring the process is simple and safe, the form does not require any payment details such as bank or credit card numbers. Once the details are filled in and submitted, travellers will receive a confirmation, which they will have to show to immigration officers. With the TWAC, Taiwan would get all the necessary details of the tourists, and this would help in reducing waiting time at immigration counters. It will also help enhance border security and help authorities contact travellers during emergencies.

1. Visit the official TWAC website to fill the digital arrival form.
2. Enter your passport details along with contact and accommodation information.
3. Submit the completed form online at least 72 hours before your scheduled arrival.
4. Save the confirmation message to present at immigration, if requested.
