According to Travel Trade Journal, it’s the first time an airport has introduced a bamboo garden within its premises, and it is called Bamboo Grove. Spanning 526 square metres, this new garden is perfect for a calm and refreshing break between flights. This new addition to the airport is inspired by the world-famous Arashiyama Bamboo Grove in Kyoto, Japan. In this garden, you’ll find a variety of bamboo species from across Asia. It has varieties like Giant Bamboo, Black Bamboo, Buddha Bamboo, Monastery Bamboo, and Sacred Bali Bamboo.

At this garden, you will get to see tall bamboo plants and stone walkways covered with greenery on all sides. To rest or to simply enjoy the surroundings, it has peaceful seating areas. It is one of the busiest airports, and it can now also be a hub to take photographs, breathe fresh air, and enjoy nature.

Accessible At All Times

As per Travel Trade Journal, the newly opened garden at Singapore’s Changi Airport, Bamboo Groove, is located just a three-minute walk from the Hub & Spoke Café near Terminal 2. Whether you’re walking or coming by bicycle, or public transport, this garden is easily accessible. It is also to be noted that there is no entrance fees for garden entry. It is open to the public 24 hours a day and seven days a week. This makes the garden perfect for tourists or airport staff to walk by at any time.

Bamboo Grove is the latest addition to Singapore’s airport. Apart from it, you can also explore Rain Vortex waterfall, Canopy Park, Canopy Bridge, mazes, and Discovery Slides. Also visit beautiful gardens like the Butterfly Garden and the Sunflower Garden. So, the next time you’re at Changi Airport—whether on a layover or simply looking for a unique experience—make sure to take a stroll through Bamboo Grove.
