Go First Bankruptcy: The Cabin Crew Is Stranded In Different Parts Of The World

Go First Airline has recently filed for bankruptcy. The low-cost airline has already filed before the National Company Law Tribunal on Tuesday. Previously, they also announced suspending their flight services from 3 May to 5 May 2023. In a recent tweet, they further updated that the cancelling of fights will now continue till 9 May 2023 because of operational reasons.

The cash-strapped airline announced the cancellation of flights abruptly, without any prior information. Many passengers are facing tremendous issues. The sudden decision to stop the flight services is leading to create travel problems for the passengers. These people have already booked their tickets and now they will need to look out for a ticket on another airline. Go First announced that they will start issuing a full refund to the original mode of payment shortly. Though flyers will get back their ticket prices, it will take some time for the refund to reach them.

Not just the people who have booked GoFirst tickets on the above-mentioned dates are facing challenges but also the employees and cabin crew are going through a hard time because of all these abrupt changes.

Cabin Crew Members Are Stranded In Various Destinations

According to a report by Business Today, many Go First cabin crew members are stranded in so many places allegedly. The report states how they are stuck in different destinations in India and international countries as well. The crew members are currently in those places from where they were meant to board the flight on 3 May, 4 May, and 5 May. They are staying stranded at these places after the news of bankruptcy and suspension of flights came to light.

The employees in international places will find it extremely difficult to stay like this for more days as they cannot get out of the airport. Also, it will cost them to sustain for the days they are staying outside.

It is only a matter of time to see if the cancellation of scheduled flights continues for more days.
