The ceremonial procedure will proceed on a massive scale for seven days in Ayodhya, beginning on January 16, as the preparations for the consecration ceremony of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram Temple are moving quickly. The first day will witness rituals like Godan, Vishnu puja, and more, while the rituals will end on day 7 with the much-awaited Pran Prathistha. Here’s the full schedule for you. 

7-Day Schedule Of Ayodhya Ram Temple Consecration Ceremony

On January 22,  Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present for the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in the heavenly-sized temple in Ayodhya.

The following events that will take place on the seven-day schedule:

January 16: The ceremony to bring the idol of Ram Lalla home will start on January 16. Godan, Vishnu worship, Dashavid bath on the banks of the Saryu River, and expiation by the host as per the temple trust.

January 17: A procession of the idol of Ramlalla will be carried out in the city. Devotees will be arriving at the temple with Mangal Kalash and Saryu water. 

January 18: The rituals for Pran Prathistha will begin from here. This includes a variety of pujas like Mandap Pradesh Pujan, Matrika Pujan, Vastu Pujan, Barun Pujan, and Vighnaharta Pujan. 

January 19: The sacred fire will be lit on January 19 in a fire pit. On this day, rituals like Agni Sthapana, Navagraha Sthapana, and Havan will be performed.

January 20: The cleaning of Ram Temple’s sanctum sanctorum the next morning will take place. They will be using water stored in 81 containers. On the same day, there will be a Vastu Shanti Pujan and a massive Havan.

January 21: Shayadhivas will be take place following a celestial bath of the Ram Lalla idol with water from 125 pots.

January 22: This day  will complete the preparatory phase. PM himself will be present for the “Pran Pratishtha” of Lord Ram on January 22 at precisely 12 hours, 29 minutes, and 8 seconds to 12 hours, 30 minutes, and 32 seconds in the afternoon.
