Flynas is a low-cost private Saudi Airline, which was formerly known as Nas Air. It’s the first low-cost airline in Saudi Arabia and now it has become first in another great way. Yes, this air carrier has become the first to launch a programme for training airline cabin crew in sign language in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, it was revealed that the air carrier, flynas is implementing a collaboration with Saudi Association for Hearing Impairment. This is a part of the airline’s effort to adopt sustainable initiatives that will positively impact society. Not to mention, the program also aims to train airlines that will help them effectively communicate with passengers. Yes, this will especially be helpful for those with hearing impairment and there will be a special focus on sign language.

In fact, the airline also took to its official account on X to post glimpses from this session. In its post, the airline mentions that they aim to have at least one sign language speaker on board every flight. It’s worth mentioning that this training covers several stages of passenger communication. From welcoming and boarding procedures to in-flight services, the training covers them all. In fact, it also includes safety measures and even farewell procedures.

Finally, it should be noted that the airline has previously implemented similar initiatives. Yes, this includes the training programme, which was in cooperation with the Saudi Autistic Society. The training was conducted by flynas for its ground service staff and airline cabin crew.

With the airline doing so much for the people, it’s certainly heartwarming to see how it’s going the extra mile to ensure there is comfort for every passenger.
