According to an article which was recently published by CNBC TV18, Paytm can now be used for transactions by Indian travellers in other countries as well. These countries are available wherever UPI payments are accepted.
For instance, popular spots in countries like Bhutan, France, Mauritius, the United Arab Emirates or the UAE, Singapore, and Nepal accept UPI. Here, Indian travellers will be able to use Paytm. In order to make this feature more accessible, the app will have certain other helpful features.
In order to use this feature, users will be required to do a one-time activation linked to their bank account. They will be required to stipulate a certain usage period ranging from one day to 90 days. In addition to this, users will also be privy to real-time exchange rates on the app.
Shop, Dine, And Do Other Things Without Worrying About Payments
Operated by One97 Communications Limited, Paytm has launched this feature to make payments easier for Indian travellers. The real-time exchange rate allows users more control over their spending habits and will help curb expenses that cross their budgets.
This feature also demonstrates how committed the platform is to constantly improve its user experience through such innovative features. A few days it was announced that UPI would be made available for use in a number of foreign countries. This move by Paytm is at the heels of that one.
