Mumbai BEST bus services are commencing on a new route from Mumbai to Thane. This means that commuting for people travelling from Mumbai to Thane will get significantly easier and more comfortable. The BEST bus service will be from the Mumbai airport in Andheri to the Cadbury Junction in Thane. So, if your commuting involves travelling between these two points, this bus service might just be your saviour from overcrowded and hot train travel.
BEST Bus Service: New Mumbai-Thane Bus Route
On Tuesday, the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport or BEST announced that their premium line of buses will be commencing on a new route from Mumbai to Thane. The bus service will be available to people travelling from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Andheri West to the Cadbury Junction in Thane.
This premium bus facility will help people travelling anywhere between these two points. When travelling such a long distance, people most commonly opt for the local trains for which Mumbai is famous.
However, local trains, especially during peak hours, are extremely crowded to the point that people hang outside the train doors. Hence, the bus is a welcome alternative for many who don’t feel comfortable travelling in such densely packed trains.

About This New Premium Bus Service
This premium bus service is different from the other bus services in Mumbai because, unlike the regular BEST buses, this one does not have designated stops. This means that unless a passenger marks their pickup and drop-off spot, the bus will not stop.
This allows for faster, more efficient travel and it also saves time. Furthermore, the passenger can book their ticket in advance from the ‘Chalo App’. Moreover, to ensure that these premium buses aren’t also overcrowded, travelling while standing is not allowed.
This Mumbai-Thane route is the latest. Earlier, these buses were only available on a couple of other routes. The routes are both connected to the Airport but from different places. One is from South Mumbai to the Airport and the other is from Khargar to the airport.
