This Agra Vendor’s Unique Gulab Jamun Paratha Is Going Viral

Food bloggers @taste_bird and @foodxdelhi shared a video of Agra street vendors offering Gulab Jamum Parathas on Instagram. Foodies are moving into a tizzy with this brand-new creation. We can see the street vendor rolling out the dough into a roti and then crushing two Gulab Jamuns in it. He then places the gulab jamun dough in a hot tawa and fries it in lots of ghee. This sweet paratha is then served with a chasni.

In a video posted by @paidaishi_foodie on Instagram, you can watch the making of the Gulab Jamun Waffle served at Delhi’s Rabbit Lee Cafe. The chef at the Delhi eatery first adds bits of gulab jamun into the batter. And then goes on to pour it into the waffle maker. He seals it and proceeds to cook it. When the waffle is ready, he slices it with a pair of scissors. Next, he tops the waffle with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. Then does the unthinkable, of adding gulab jamun halves on the dessert. Drizzles it with chocolate sauce and voila! The Gulab Jamun Waffle is ready! It costs 200.
