Temperature is continuing to drop in Gulmarg making the winter season more chilly and shivery. With the record snowfall, the temperature has decreased to -7°C on Sunday. Though the weather is becoming harsh, people are loving the joy of witnessing snowfall and enjoying the happiness of it. Seeing snowfall right in front of their eyes is on the bucket list of many travel enthusiasts.
Officials stated that the plain areas of Kashmir received moderate snowfall, according to a report by NDTV. The places in the higher regions experienced heavy snowfall. This town is famous for skiing not just in India but globally as well. The picturesque snow-covered surroundings make it perfect to experience the thrill of this adventurous sport right now.
The weather conditions have affected the smooth operations of flights and vehicular movement. On February 4, all the flights from Srinagar airport were cancelled. The snowfall has made the roads slippery making it difficult for vehicles to run at the usual speed. The concerned department has already started working to remove snow from the roads and provide smooth transportation.
