The Dubai Fountain, which last dazzled the crowds on April 19, is getting a serious glow-up. While Emaar, the real estate giant behind the show, stayed tight-lipped on the reopening date for a while, they’ve finally spilled the tea. Replying to a fan on Instagram, Emaar confirmed the fountains will be back in action by 1 October 2025.

The response came via the official @emaardubai account, after they posted a behind-the-scenes look at how the fountains are maintained. With only about three months left, the wait isn’t too long  and let’s be honest, there are plenty of distractions to keep us busy in Dubai this summer.

What’s Changing? Expect A Bigger, Better Show

This isn’t just your average maintenance check. The world’s tallest performing fountain display is closed for five months to undergo major upgrades. From cutting-edge technology to revamped choreography and sharper sound and lighting, Dubai fountain is prepping up to better than ever!

For those new to Dubai, the fountains sit in the 30-acre Burj Lake, right next to Burj Khalifa. When in action, they shoot up an insane 22,000 gallons of water, soaring up to 140 metres in the air. It’s pure magic  and yes, the shows used to run every 30 minutes between 6pm to 11pm daily.

Missing The Shows? There’s A Plan B

Can’t wait until October? Don’t stress. Emaar has set up high-tech digital screens across the promenade. So, now you can have  a sneak peek of the fountain shows in a digital format. The visuals are in sync with the famous Burj Khalifa LED displays, so you still get that wow factor while you sip your karak or enjoy your stroll.

So, mark your calendars, Habibis! The Dubai fountain spectacle is getting all set to light up Downtown Dubai this October.
