Haryana To Build India’s Largest Jungle Safari, Spanning 10,000 Acres; 5 Things To Know

Gone are the days when Haryana was just an industrial hub of India. Now, it’s all set to welcome Asia’s largest jungle safari. Inspired by Gujarat’s Vantara model, the Haryana government is now planning a jungle safari project in the Aravalli hills of Gurgaon and Nuh district. And, it’s said that it would span over 10,000 acres with an intention to boost eco-tourism.

When we plan a vacation, Haryana barely makes it to the list. To change that and to increase tourism in the state, they are moving towards building something big. And as per Social Policy Research Foundation (SPRF), the jungle safari would feature a range of animals like herbivores, amphibians, and more. They would also have a bird sanctuary and trekking trails for the adventure lovers.

SPRF has also highlighted that this project started under the Compensatory Afforestation scheme (CAMPA) to compensate for the loss of tropical forests cut down in Nicobar Islands for a big infrastructure project.
