Heavy Rains Halt Train Passing Through Goa’s Dudhsagar Waterfall; Video Looks Magical

Known as the sea of milk, Dudhsagar Waterfall is the fifth-highest waterfall in India and lies on the Belgaum–Vasco da Gama rail route in Goa. The cascading waters of Dudhsagar fall from a height of around 1020 feet and the views are breathtaking, especially during monsoons. Recently, a train passing through the waterfall was halted owing to low visibility after heavy rainfall. A video was captured, where a mighty volume of water is seen lashing down like clouds, drenching the train and its lush green surroundings. The misty video looks like a piece of a dream and it’s leaving netizens awestruck.

Dudhsagar Waterfall is one of the most popular tourist attractions located in Goa, on the border of Karnataka. The waterfall lies approximately 46 kilometres east of Madgaon and 80 kilometres south of Belagavi. Prasar Bharati has shared the video on its Twitter handle, stating, “WATCH: A train passing through Doodhsagar waterfall in South Western Railway, halted due to heavy rainfall.” And the sight is profoundly mesmerising.

Dudhsagar Falls cuts through the Western Ghats in Goa and the slopes around it are strikingly green. The waterfall sits between the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park, in the heart of the deciduous forests.
