Passport Seva, a service offered by the Indian Embassy, lets you complete your application entirely online. To apply for an Indian passport or visa, you must fill out an online registration form, sign it, and mail it to the BLS International Centre.

How To Renew Indian Passports Online
1. Select the area and nation in which you currently reside from this link: https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in/. Pick “Africa and Middle East” from the drop-down menu for this.
2. In the next step, choose Register to apply for passport services. The Passport Seva webpage will invite you to register an online account when you select a category. You may log in using your account information if you already have an account with the portal.
3. Click on ‘Register – Register to apply for passport services’ once logged in. Then, Click on the ‘application for regular passport application’.

4. After this, you will get the following options to choose from:
- Passport type: a new passport or a replacement passport. Choose “passport reissue” to submit a request for a new passport.
- Reissue justification is “validity lapsed in the next three years or scheduled to expire.”
- Application type: tatkal or regular (urgent).
- 36 or 60 pages in the passport booklet type
5. Fill out the form with details like First name, gender, Have you ever changed your name etc. Click the next button after completing the application information. You must fill out the following portion of the passport renewal application with information about your family.
6. Enter the address information next. You must input the address from your passport in this part, which should contain your house number, your village, town, or city, your district, and the closest police station.
7. After that, input your email and cellphone numbers. Next, provide the name and address of your emergency contact.
8. Enter your prior passport information, including the number, expiration date, and place of issuance.
9. The last step of the application procedure is “additional details,” which consists of a list of questions to which you must provide a yes or no response. This comes after you have finished filling out your passport information.

Cost of Renewing Your Passport
These are the service charges for renewing a passport, according to BLS:
- 36 pages for adults; Dh265
- Dh380 for 60 pages for adults.
Make Use Of The “Tatkal” service
The “Tatkal” programme will expedite your passport renewal if you must fly to India for a medical emergency or if someone in your family has passed away. With the “Tatkal” service, you may get a new passport in two business days. But you have to schedule a meeting with BLS. The fees for renewing a passport through the “Tatkal” service are higher.
