H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai is looking for ideas from citizens and residents to improve the quality if life in Dubai. HH launched a new campaign called Design Your Life in a meeting of the Dubai Council on 5 February 2020. Moreover, AED 500 million is allotted to develop the neighborhood based on the needs of the residents.

Sheikh Mohammed tweeted: “Today, I chaired the third meeting of the Dubai Council and our first decisions were to allocate 500 million dirhams to improve life in Dubai’s citizens “neighborhoods based on what they want and not based on what government departments are planning for them”
Right after this, HH tweeted requesting residents to share concerns about their neighborhood on the Dubai Council website – dubaicouncil.ae. The website allows residents to suggest measure to improve quality of life in Dubai. The requests and concerns will then be addressed by HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director- General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA.
Further, the tweet also stated that 12 new neighbourhood councils will be built, and managed by retired experts who will look into thee concerns raised by the residents. The Dubai Council website is available in Arabic and English, so this is the perfect platform to voice your concerns about your neighborhood.
