Holi is almost here and to ensure a smooth and hassle-free celebration, police forces in different cities and states have issued strict guidelines. Holi Guidelines Issued By Police
Delhi
According to Hindustan Times, Delhi Police has stepped up security at over 100 locations across the national capital ahead of the Holi festival. Additional police forces, along with paramilitary forces, will be deployed at these locations to ensure peaceful celebrations. Also, drones will be used for surveillance, and strict action will be taken against those attempting any unlawful activity.
Hyderabad
Hyderabad Police issued a series of strict regulations in the city to maintain law and order. As per the notification issued, throwing colours or water on unwilling individuals, smearing colours on vehicles or public spaces without consent, and group vehicle movements that disrupt public order are strictly prohibited. The order will be in effect from 6 PM on March 13, 2025, to 6 AM on March 15, 2025. These guidelines were issued under Section 22 of the Hyderabad City Police Act.

Mumbai
To ensure a safe and peaceful Holi celebration, Mumbai Police has released an official advisory and urged citizens to follow these guidelines. Here are the guidelines issued by Mumbai Police that will be in effect till March 18 –
1. Spraying colours and water on pedestrians is prohibited.
2. Singing obscene songs in public places is not allowed.
3. Water balloons, plain or coloured, are not allowed in public areas.
4. Improper gestures, offending acts, or exhibiting photographs or other objects that can be deemed indecent, immoral, or offensive to public dignity is not allowed.
Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh Police has also intensified security measures ahead of Holi in the state. From strict monitoring and increased patrolling to the deployment of drones for surveillance, everything has been put in place by the state police. Extensive patrolling is underway in high-footfall areas like marketplaces and festival venues. The police have put barricades at strategic points to manage crowd movement and stepped up CCTV monitoring to track activities and swiftly identify potential threats.
