How An Indian Musician Ticked 245 Countries Off His Wishlist In 6.5 Years With 16 Passports

For most travellers, a passport filled with stamps is a prized possession. For Indian musician and world traveller Benny Prasad, it took 16 passports to document his extraordinary journey across the globe. Scroll down to know more.

Benny Prasad Has Visited 245 Nations So Far

Benny Prasad recently took to his social media and shared a video showcasing the stack of passports that followed him on his mission to visit every country and territory in the world. The video starts with him holding what appears to be a single passport before unveiling a thick collection of travel-worn booklets collected over years of constant movement.

In the video, Benny explains the scale of his achievement. “I am from India, and I’ve been to every country in the shortest time. It was 245 nations in 2010, including Antarctica, both sovereign and dependent, in six years, six months and 22 days,” he says.

The passports act as a visual record of that incredible feat. As he flips through the pages, the audience can see hundreds of immigration stamps, visas, entry permits and border markings collected from destinations spanning every continent. Many pages are filled, leaving little room for additional stamps, while others show signs of age from years of extensive travel.

The collection emphasises the huge logistical challenge behind visiting 245 countries and territories in just over six years. While many tourists spend decades working through their bucket lists, Benny accomplished the journey in a relatively short span, earning fame as one of the fastest people to travel across the world.

How Did Social Media React To It?

The video quickly attracted attention online, with social media users expressing admiration at both the number of passports and the scale of the accomplishment. One user wrote, “He actually had no money. God provided, you can read it in his book ‘Unthinkable: Suicidal to breaking the world record’ – Benny Prasad”.
