N V S Reddy is the Managing Director of Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited and recently he shared that the project is likely to be completed within the next 3 years, according to a report by Swarajyamag.
- The authorities are initiating this project with the primary goal to cut down the total travel time from Hyderabad City to the airport by half. Expectations are that the metro will be able to take the passengers between these two places in a span of about 20 minutes.
- This upcoming Hyderabad Airport Metro is going to be 31 km long.
- The Telangana government is paying the total cost of ₹6,250 crore for the construction of the project.
- Also, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority and the GMR Hyderabad International Airport are individually contributing 10 per cent to this extraordinary Hyderabad Airport Metro Express project.
- 9 stations are going to be a part of this connectivity project.
- This project is going to build an enhanced connection between several parts of the city and the airport. Madhapur, Mindspace junction, Narsingi, Nanakramguda, Gachibowli, Hitec City’s IT Hub, and more places are getting connected.

To choose the perfect engineering, procurement, and construction contractor for the Hyderabad airport metro project, companies such as Tata Projects, BEML, K&T, Siemens, and more were present at a meeting, according to a report by Times Now News.

K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana laid the foundation stone for the Hyderabad Airport Metro Express project in 2022. Preparations are going on in full swing presently. All the steps for surveying, alignment fixing, and peg marking are accomplished.
