After Jabez, his wife and helper boarded the cab at 10 am, he requested the driver to switch on the AC. The driver declined. The Hyderabad man also noticed the cab was very dirty. Ola, in its response, stated the man should have impleaded the driver instead of the company. Furthermore, the ride-hailing firm said Ola Cab was just the name of an internet-based application and not a legal entity So, it gave this reason to dismiss the case. The local consumer disputes commission reasoned that the driver’s action showed a deficiency of service and reflected unfair trade practices. It asked Ola to pay Samuel ₹1 lakh as compensation.
