Ashish Hemrajani, who is the CEO of BookMyShow, recently attended the Mumbai Tech Week 2024. CNBC TV18 recently shared a clip from the convention. The clip showed a snippet of a conversation between Shereen Bhan and Ashish Hemrajani.

This particular conversation was about Mumbai and how it is distinct from other big cities in India. Commenting on the same, he says that one of the unique aspects of Mumbai is that you will find restaurants open till 3 AM!

He goes on to say that in Bengaluru, restaurants close at 11 PM. He even highlighted that India’s Silicon Valley doesn’t have a major convention centre and so, conferences like the one he was currently attending, couldn’t take place there.

Another important aspect of Mumbai, according to him, is that it is soon going to be livable and affordable. Real estate in Mumbai is notoriously expensive and the city is known to be overcrowded. He says that the city’s infrastructure is developing fast.

He said that Delhi used to be ten years ahead of Mumbai in terms of infrastructure but now, Mumbai has caught up with the National Capital. The video saw a lot of disagreement but there were many who echoed his sentiments.
