As per the MoU signed, Airbnb will make efforts to focus on and promote the erstwhile untapped tourist destinations in the state. This will be done to divert traffic and tourist congestion from the more popular parts of the state.

There are four key elements of the MoU. These are capacity building, onboarding homestays, creating a robust homestay ecosystem, training and seamless integration. As part of capacity building, it will conduct activities that will improve local host practices.

Workshops will also be organised for a select group of model hosts who will then impart their knowledge to other local hosts. This way, best host practices will be shared so that the tourist experience is positive.
