The grand consecration ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was conducted on January 22, 2024. Ever since its historical inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there have been many striking viral incidents and controversies regarding the temple and the holy city. This time, Ayodhya is grabbing everyone’s attention for a shocking episode of theft. According to multiple reports, lights worth ₹50 lakh were stolen from roads leading to the mandir.

Lights On Bhakti Path & Ram Path In Ayodhya Were Stolen

Bhakti Path and Ram Path are the crucial roads in Ayodhya leading to the iconic Ram Mandir. In a shocking incident, around 3,800 bamboo lights and 36 projector lights allegedly went missing from Bhakti Path and Ram Path. These have been stolen and viral news regarding the surprising episode came as a major shock to everyone. The stolen lights installed on these famous roads in Ayodhya are worth ₹50 lakh, according to a report by The Times of India.

Interestingly, the incident of theft was not reported recently. Instead, the street lights went missing a few months back this year. Yash Enterprises and Krishna Automobiles installed all these lights on the streets. Shekhar Sharma, a representative of the firm, shared that lights were installed properly till March 19. However, people noticed lights missing from the roads on May 9, following an inspection.

Both the Bhakti Path and the Ram Path are important routes connecting several tourist attractions in the sacred city. Bhakti Path links Shringar Ghat and Hanuman Garhi. The road is famous for being the address to shops coloured in the saffron shade. On the other hand, Ram Path connects Sadatganj and Naya Ghat.

FIR Has Been Filed

On August 9, an FIR regarding the theft of lights on Bhakti Path and Ram Path in Ayodhya was lodged at the Ram Janmabhoomi police station. It took more than two months to file an FIR with the concerned police department.
