Durga Puja 2025 is just around the corner, with celebrations about to begin. We are only waiting for the dhak beats to start, signalling the arrival of Maa Durga. With pandals across Kolkata and other cities being set up, one in particular stands out: a unique and futuristic one that is sure to leave you awe-struck.

A Futuristic Durga Puja Theme At Arjunpur Amra Sabai Club

Arjunpur Amra Sabai Club, a non-profit social hub in North Kolkata, has unveiled the most unique pandal for Durga Puja 2025. The club has been known for fostering art and culture, and this year’s Durga Maa idol truly reflects that. With the theme titled “Mukhomukhi”, the artwork of this pandal has been created in collaboration with Shovin Bhattacharjee, a digital artist, and Shampa Bhattacharjee, a contemporary Indian artist.

The club revealed the first look of the pandal on Instagram, writing, “On the path of tradition, with the touch of art — ‘Mukhomukhi.” Devotees can expect a futuristic fusion of art and intellect here. The idol itself looks unlike anything seen before. With a warrior-like appearance wrapped up in blue light, it represents strength and readiness to fight evil against all odds.

Idol Made Of Steel To Reflect Strength

Made of stainless steel, the idol is designed not only to showcase strength but also to reflect the power of education. The idol is styled like a warrior queen with metallic detailing. It also features stainless steel armour and a crown, which honestly gives it a sci-fi touch. The deep blue effect behind the idol also helps to create a sense of outer space. According to the club’s Instagram post, it symbolises knowledge and the strength of the human mind. The idol also represents the “cosmic eye”, signifying the universe and space in a scientific visualisation.

The collaboration between Arjunpur Amra Sabai Club, Shovin Bhattacharjee, and Shampa Bhattacharjee has brought their unique vision to life for Durga Puja. Both the idol and the pandal are absolutely beautiful and are surely going to attract a large crowd.
