Ministry of Home Affairs recently made the announcement about unveiling a new category of Ayush Visa. This visa has been launched for specific reasons and is designed for foreign citizens. This visa scheme is all set to cater to foreign nationals looking for medical treatment facilities under Ayush systems/Indian systems. This visa scheme targets overseas people interested in the traditional Indian systems of medicine and treatment such as Ayurveda, wellness, yoga, and therapeutic care. The primary aim of this visa scheme is to facilitate all these authentic medical treatments to interested foreign nationals arriving in India.

The Ministry of Ayush reportedly stated about the incorporation of “chapter 11A–Ayush Visa” after Chapter 11 – Medical Visa of the Visa Manual, according to a report by LiveMint. This inclusion now plays a huge role in dealing with treatment under the Indian systems of medicine. The Ministry further added how amendments have also been developed in different chapters of the Visa Manual, 2019.

It is PM Narendra Modi’s dream to establish Indian traditional medicine as a worldwide phenomenon and the visa scheme is going to help to achieve the goal.
